  • You will receive a Google Calendar invitation with a meeting link.

  • All meetings last 50 minutes with 10 additional minutes for questions.

  • There is no charge for missed meetings, however, have limited availability so other appointments will fill on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Payments can be made via Zelle to hello@collegewithhenna.com

  • For the Essay Editing process only: Payment must be made in full beforehand. Henna will only begin editing once payment is received.

  • Please refer to the services page for pricing. 

  • Referral Bonus: If you refer a family member or friend to Henna, you’ll receive either 5% off an essay package or 10% off a meeting.

Focus: Adjusting to High School

Grade 10

Take character and career assessments

Take PSAT in October

Enroll in tutoring if grades slip

Join National Honors Society

Slightly increase course rigor (take 1st honors, AP, IB classes)

Get more involved in extracurriculars (start a tutoring side-job, volunteer more on the weekends, show leadership qualities on your sports team)

Focus: Building Character

Grade 11

Attend college visits at your HS

Bump up course rigor (multiple AP/IB)

October: take PSAT

Assume a leadership position (ASB VP, start your own bake sale company, voted captain of JV tennis)

Attend NACAC college fair

Henna and student will begin forming college lists and organizing tours

Spring: Take SAT/ACT (4 mo. prep)

Ask 2 core teachers for letters of rec

Focus: Strengthening Applicability and Researching Colleges

Grade 12

Summer: Write and edit college essays

Finalize college list and know deadlines

Maximize course rigor (A-grades, mostly AP/IB classes)

Assume top-level leadership in your community (CA spelling bee champ, Varsity Goalkeeper)

October: Attend NACAC college fair to meet admissions reps

Fall: Apply to college!

December: Apply for FAFSA

Spring: Receive acceptances, tour schools, make your final decision
